Experience  

2003 - present            Manager - BearingPoint, Toronto

§     Project manager for an Epiphany CRM pilot engagement for an Internet company. The project included custom J2EE middleware development and implementation of Epiphany eService and Enterprise Insight.

§     Led the creation of help desk and deployment processes as part of the office of the CIO for an international horse racing company.  Responsible for developing processes and job aids for a rapidly growing IT organization.

 

2001 - 2002     Senior Consultant  - BearingPoint, Toronto

§     Served as solution architect for a BellSouth Proposal.  Responsible for architecting an E.Piphany solution, project planning and budget forecasting.

§     Led a 1.6M U.S. E.Piphany RT implementation for SBC.  Responsible for the technical delivery of offer management to more than 10,000 call center agents.   Managed a team comprised of four BearingPoint and twelve client resources delivering the project on time and on budget.  Responsible for the ongoing relationship with a large and important BearingPoint client. 

§     Managed a team responsible for creating and E.Piphany RT prototype for a SBC in a 17K engagement.  The implementation integrated RT with the client’s inbound call center sales negotiation tool using MQ Series as middleware.  Responsible for overall project success and the training of BearingPoint resources on the RT product, as well as securing BearingPoint’s role  in the full implementation.

§     Served as principal technical architect for the initial design of an E.Piphany RT solution for a major Canadian telecommunications provider.  Provided initial architecture model for the 3 million dollar implementation, as well as guidance and training to team members.

§     Leveraged prior success to win a small [50K] piece of follow on E.Piphany enhancement work, participated in the team win for large [3M] engagement for same client.

§     Served as technical architect, OASYS development for a major Canadian utility entering the DLEC Space.  OASYS is a SQL Server / ASP based application providing basic OSS / BSS functionality.  Responsible for the trouble ticketing, network provisioning, network inventory and billing pieces of the application, as well as providing overall leadership and the co-coordination of documentation efforts and selling the solution to the client.  The project succeeded in providing a functional solution for the client at a greatly reduced cost and led to follow on work.

§     Served as billing lead on the process team for the above utility.  Responsible for all billing, credit and collections business processes, as well as assisting with data modeling, application architecture and business requirements for a SQL Server / IIS based OSS.  Successful completion led to further work for the same client.

 

2000-2001            Consultant  - KPMG Consulting, Toronto

§     Served as technical architect in an e.Piphany RP implementation for a major Canadian Wireless company.  Created the business and system requirements documents, coded a demo VB client application, designed the campaign and offer hierarchy, and customized the product using Java Script to meet business requirements.  Was successful in replacing an outside contractor by quickly acquiring technical knowledge of the RP product.  The implementation generated a 16% lift in call center sales.

§     Served as technical lead in an OSS / BSS audit for a major Canadian CLEC.  Responsible for project planning, and the creation of an audit methodology and a reconciliation tool to discover, correct and log necessary corrections to the OSS / BSS systems.  The system found substantial missing revenues – subsequent root cause analysis pointed to several “quick fix” process changes.

§     Prior to the above, participated in a revenue assurance project for the same CLEC.  Created a database and reporting to analyze selected customers and identify areas of concern.  Personally responsible for the discovery of approximately $300,000.00 of active but unbilled services and instrumental in obtaining the above expansion to the project.

§     Provided a preliminary technical architecture to assist a major Canadian CLEC in the development of an ASP business plan.

§     Technical architect in a group responsible for deploying a unified best of breed OSS / BSS architecture at a major Canadian Service Provider.   Coordinated the architectural underpinnings of the project with two KPMG development teams and the client.

§     Technical lead on a customer web interface / EBPP proposal for a major Canadian service provider.

 

1999-2000            Manager, Billing Systems – CanopCo, Toronto

§     Made extensive improvements to the billing system to keep up with changing business requirements.

§     Responsible for two direct reports involved in various modifications to the billing system and it’s external interfaces.

§     My design of the billing system was approved by Saville’s lead architect.

§     Created numerous web-interfaces to the billing system.

§     Interfaced with customers on a variety of billing matters.

§     Created an EMI record generating program sold outside the company

 

1998-1999 Lead Developer, Carrier Billing Systems – CanopCo, Toronto

§     Designed and built CanopCo’s billing system.

§     Created applications to allow CanopCo to send records to Canadian and U.S. Telcos

§     Worked on a VB based CTI program.

§     Created and administered web based call center reporting
